Lieut. Lowell Wallace Wood

Lieutenant Lowell Wallace Wood was born in Lloydtown, Ontario on June 5, 1891.  He was already serving as an officer in the 12th York Rangers at the time he joined the 220th O.S. Bn C.E.F in Toronto on May 22, 1916.  Like his cousin Lieut James Wallace, see his entry in this blog, he was a barrister-at-law.

Lieutenant Wood would die on October 17, 1918 at the age of 27 in one of the last battles of WWI.  He is buried in Etaples Military Cemetery in France.
